100% Solar-Powered Production
Every one of our production stages is powered by solar energy stations installed across our facilities. Egypt receives some of the highest solar irradiance in the world, and we have leveraged this natural advantage to its fullest potential. Our photovoltaic arrays generate the electricity needed to run climate control systems, LED grow lights, water circulation pumps, packaging equipment, and cold storage units. By eliminating our dependence on fossil fuels, we have reduced our carbon footprint to a fraction of what a conventional farming operation of similar scale would produce.
95% Water Recirculation
Water scarcity is one of the defining challenges of agriculture in the Middle East and North Africa region. Traditional open-field irrigation can waste enormous quantities of water through evaporation, runoff, and inefficient distribution. Our hydroponic systems take a fundamentally different approach. Through smart irrigation technology, 95 percent of the water used in our growing systems is captured, filtered, re-balanced with nutrients, and recirculated back to the plants. This closed-loop system means that we use only a fraction of the water that conventional farming requires — producing more food with dramatically less water.
Reducing Waste Across the Supply Chain
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond energy and water. Because our controlled environment eliminates crop losses from weather, pests, and disease, we achieve significantly higher yield rates than traditional farms. Produce is harvested at optimal maturity and packaged immediately in our on-site facilities, reducing transportation distances and the associated emissions. Our packaging uses modified atmosphere technology to extend shelf life naturally, reducing food waste at the retail and consumer level. Every decision in our supply chain is evaluated through the lens of environmental responsibility.
